Cheesecake Brownies

Makes: 32 servings, one piece each


1 pkg. (19.5 oz.) brownie mix
1/2 cup applesauce
3 egg whites, divided
1/4 cup water
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese, 1/3 Less Fat than Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour



PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Mix brownie mix, applesauce, 2 of the egg whites and water. Pour into 13x9-inch baking pan sprayed with cooking spray.
MIX Neufchatel cheese, sugar, flour and remaining egg white until well blended. Spoon over brownie batter. Cut through batter with knife several times for marble effect.
BAKE 28 to 30 min. or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs attached. Cool in pan on wire rack.

Goodbye to a Legendary Tortoise Harriet, a 330-pound tortoise, dies at age 176 A 176-year-old giant tortoise named Harriet died Friday at a zoo in Australia. Harriet, who weighed around 330 pounds, died of heart failure. Harriet's owner, Steve Irwin, hosts the Animal Planet network's popular show The Crocodile Hunter. Irwin and his wife, Terri, mourned Harriet's death. "She is possibly one of the oldest living creatures on the planet and her passing today is not only a real loss for the world but a very sad day for my family," Irwin said.
