The New Volvo S40

One of the Volvo’s best promotional models in the year 2006 is the S40 car which has been given an inclusive external and internal redesign in order to improve their versatility, safety and dynamism. With consequence from 2008, the Volvo model’s production will start in the month of May and the first car will be released for the customer in UK around early July.

Design of Volvo S40
The Volvo S40 features chrome framed egg-crate grille and has a complete fifty percent large Volvo badge. It is an obvious indication of Volvo’s bolder future design direction. S40’s rear includes new tail light units that are fixed with LED lights which emits diode brake lights. Versatility and packaging
There is a totally different versatility and packaging technique to the model built up. The Volvo designers along with Volvo engineers presented the compartment of S40 with a careful modification in order to add extra storage space and also carry resourcefulness along with a boost of the interior trim choice.

The Volvo even has a solid handbrake and an amended armrest which is longer to reach. The armrest can is also able to flip through 180 degrees in order to become a useful table for the rear passengers.

Redesign of the S40 Car from S80 design
Volvo’s redesigned and added functionalities include a lot of changes and rechanges. For instance the cup holders and a large storage space area under the armrest also include the lower section of the front door inside the panels which is redesigned to house large items. The supplementary input for the audio system has been moved from under the armrest.

There are also further changes like the energetically styled instrument panels for the T5 and the D5 models, and the speakers of Dynaudio for the Premium sound system. There is also a new hard drive based RTI road traffic information and satellite navigation system and a sunroof too.

Volvo S40 Safety
The Volvo S40 has been designed totally for safety purpose of people from all age groups. The design has been thought on the perspective of safety of the passengers and their well being. If any of the airbags of Volvo are deployed, the danger lights automatically get activated which is a feature to help and draw the attention of other motorists in any event of single-vehicle accidents during the dark night time. Further, there are also emergency brakes when the anti-lock function is turned on and the EBL which refers to the Emergency Brake Lights function flares all the brake lights for around five times per second to inform the drivers who follow about the emergency brake manoeuvring.
