Circuit City

Circuit City is a retailer and dealer in some of the brand names of personal computers, entertainment software and consumer electronic. Circuit City has around 13 locations in United States and operates almost 668 Superstores which range in size from 15,000 to 45,000 square feet. These superstores offer a wide variety of brand name personal computers, entertainment software and consumer electronics. Circuit City also has about 800 dealer outlets and retail stores in Canada.

Circuit City launched its new superstore in 2001 with the store design of Big Box Retailer. The new store has a brighter and easy access floor which allows the customers to browse the products easily. Circuit City with the partnership of IBM has even developed its initial online virtual reality store. This reality store was introduced in the year 2006 and it houses three dimensional images of actual products. Consumers can chop at the reality stores almost like they would in the actual stores.

Domestic segment superstores are generally staffed with an average 56 part time and full time associates who include sales support personnel like product specialists, stockperson, supervisors, customer service associates, assistant manager and the store director. These domestic segment retail operations are actually divided into two divisions which comprise of 10 regions under the supervision of Regional Vice President. At present the foundation by Circuit City is administered by the President of InterTAN.
